Reiki course London is taught by Reiki Master Jo Ward.

Hi, Im Jo, and I welcome you on your Reiki journey. I am a Reiki Master Teacher Trainer in Reiki; teaching Reiki 1, Reiki 2 and Reiki Masters monthly; as well as giving Reiki healing to many 121 clients, every week in my home in Richmond, Surrey, South West London.

As Dr Usui (who brought Reiki to earth) always tells me, its great to have another Reiki healer in the world, the world needs more healers. So, come join me on a Reiki course and enjoy the healing magic of Reiki!

I was initiated in Reiki 1 & Reiki 2 whilst still working in corporate world in 2003 …. 23years ago! Then in 2012 I received my Reiki Masters attunements. I have been channeling Reiki for clients since 2004 and enjoy giving Reiki to clients both in person and remotely as well as teaching Reiki. I have vast experience in hand healing with Reiki and love sharing client stories on the Reiki courses. There is nothing like experience of Reiki to give new students the confidence in doing Reiki themselves. I often witness many new Reiki graduates having great success with their clients immediatly after being attuned, and the look on their faces when they feel the heat coming through their hands and the fact many of them can feel where the clients need healing is truly wonderful.

I welcome you to join me on a Reiki training course certification day. These days are a lot of fun, as well as being informative, and giving you sacred activations to channel the healing energies of Reiki through your hands and the transformative healing power of the Reiki symbols.

We are all born with the ability to channel healing energies, and with Reiki attunements, this opens up the energetic channel to access this specific healing energy.

Upon attunement, most people feel their hands become warm when giving healing to self and others.

Reiki attunements are given from the Reiki Master to the student. You will receive Reiki attunements on the course as well as insights on energy and how to manage your own energy for happiness and relaxation.

As well as receiving the Reiki attunements, I hope you will find the day very inspirational and healing. I aim to conduct the training in a light-hearted manner and share my knowledge of healing and stories of how energies work to achieve the best healing available using Reiki. I also add my own insights with the use of herbs and other energy methods that can be used when performing Reiki.

Reiki 1 & Reiki 2 are each a 1 day training course, Reiki Masters a 2 day course.

Small groups of maximum 4 people/course, I find this gives time for personal questions and enables Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 courses to be completed in only 1 day each.

Recommend Minimum 14 – 28 Days Between Reiki 1 & Reiki 2 Training:

After your Reiki 1 attunement, your energy begins to flow in a new, expanded way. This is a time of deep integration — physically, emotionally, and spiritually — as your vibration adjusts and the Reiki energy aligns with your system.

Traditionally, a period of around 21–28 days is recommended between Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 to allow this natural energetic cleansing to complete. However, every student’s journey is unique.

If you feel balanced, grounded, and intuitively ready to continue sooner, you may progress to Reiki 2 after a minimum of 14 days, or even complete both levels within a Reiki 1 & 2 combined weekend.

Jo will always tune in and guide you personally to ensure the timing feels right for your energy and your path.

Recommend Minimum 3-6 Months Between Reiki 2 & Reiki Masters Training:

Stepping into Reiki Master Level (Reiki 3) is a sacred commitment. It’s not only about learning advanced symbols or new techniques, but about embodying Reiki as a way of life and being ready to hold space for others with deep spiritual presence.

At Jo Ward’s Reiki Master course in London, students are encouraged to take time between Reiki 2 and Reiki 3 to integrate, practise, and prepare for the next level of energy.

Deep Integration of Reiki 2:
After Reiki 2, you’ll have learned sacred symbols and the ability to send Reiki across time and space. This phase helps you fully embody their vibration, gain confidence in professional practice, and strengthen your intuitive connection.

Personal Growth & Transformation:
Many students experience profound energetic and emotional shifts following Reiki 2. Allowing around 3–6 months before starting Reiki Master training gives you time to integrate, stabilise, and deepen your personal growth.

Preparing for the Master Attunement:
The Reiki Master attunement carries a powerful, high-frequency energy. Taking time to ground and refine your vibration ensures you receive it feeling centred, open, and ready.

Honouring Tradition, Allowing Flow:
Traditional Usui Reiki lineages encourage patience between levels, yet Reiki meets each student where they are. Some feel ready sooner; others choose to wait longer. Jo will always tune in personally to ensure the timing aligns with your readiness and spiritual path.

Recommended:
A minimum of 3 months between Reiki 2 and Reiki Master training is suggested, with 6–12 months ideal for full embodiment and preparation for teaching Reiki to others.

What Is Reiki?

Reiki is a universal energy that is channeled through the reiki master from divine source. It is a very pure source of healing and is activated through reiki symbol attunements.

Why Become Reiki Attuned?

Empowers you with reiki energy, improves your energetic frequency, self-healing and also can be used for healing clients, including distance healing.

I’m Already A Healer, Will It Help?

Yes, it is recommended as usually the attunements & symbols increase the healing power of the practitioner.

Will I Be Able To Give Reiki Healing Sessions Afterwards To Clients?

Yes, as soon as you have received Reiki 1 you will be able to give healing as a Reiki 1 practitioner. Usually, I recommend that you start with friends and family so you get use to how reiki energies channel through you. During the course you will find after the attunment you will find your hands start to become hot as soon as you place your intention to use Reiki to heal. However, it is recommended you also do Reiki 2 as you will then be able to use the symbols and Reiki Master as this will give you additional symbols and distant healing abilities.

What Are The Reiki Symbols?

The Reiki symbols are put into your energy field on each course, this will create greater access to universal energies for healing and general wellbeing. Reiki 1 you will receive 3 symbols during the attunement, during reiki 2 you will be given the symbols to use on the day of the training. As with tradition, they are to be shared through the reiki master during attunements.

I Don’t Want To Do Reiki On Clients, Will It Still Be Of Benefit To Me?

Yes, being reiki attuned will help support your energy and it will enable you to give self healings.

Can I Be Attuned Online?

I have seen this offered, however, I prefer to attune each person as this transfers the lineage and attending an attunement course is more fun as you learn how to use the reiki healing. You will receive and give reiki healing during each course as part of the training and its also a wonderful way to learn the method of reiki. Plus I find with students it really does give you the confidence that you can channel the reiki healing as the other reiki students will give you the feedback. Normally the feedback includes, that hands feel really hot, and they can feel energy moving in their body as the positive reiki energies enter the body.

How Do I Do Reiki Healings?

You will learn on the course how to give a reiki healing to your self (reiki 1) and to others. On each course we use the healing reiki table so i can show you the process I use with reiki clients and so it is easy for you to replicate. I have personally been practicing reiki healing with clients for over 10 years now and will show you the process i use, including the music I recommend and other healing techniques I incorporate for the best reiki treatment.

Can Animals Be Attuned To Reiki?

Yes, animals are very responsive to reiki and can be attuned. Jo’s previous dog Tiffany was reiki 1 attuned. If you are interested in me attuning your pet or giving your pet reiki please contact me.

My current dog, Lucky who is a 3 year old very sweet cocker spaniel who loves to meet all the reiki students is also reiki attuned.

Who Is My Trainer?

Reiki Masters, Jo Ward will be doing the attunements for you. I have been attuned to reiki myself since 2002, and giving reiki healing sessions for nearly 20 years. I use reiki every day and have found it to be a natural healing modality that can easily be incorporated into daily living.

What Reiki Lineage Will I Be Receiving?

I am happy to email you the reiki lineage upon request prior to the course, otherwise, you will be given it during the course.
